manufacturer serving the Defense and Aerospace industries. We are
seeking a Soft Goods Engineer to join our dedicated team. We

ideal candidate understands fabrics, textiles, and construction
methods, including how materials are sewn, assembled, and finished.
Experience with industrial fabric products such as covers,
backpacks, tents, protective gear, packaging, or fashion textiles
is essential. This role blends technical CAD design with hands-on
textile expertise, turning concepts into functional, high-quality
products. Key Responsibilities · Render textile designs from CAD
files into accurate drawings and visualizations · Read and create
technical blueprints for textile applications · Produce detailed
sketches, plans, and CAD-based outputs · Optimize nesting of
materials to reduce waste and maximize cost savings · Operate and
program automated cutting machines and accompanying software · Work
closely with leadership to formulate product paths from prototype
to production · Support prototyping and production operations with
hands-on problem solving · Implement design changes to improve
manufacturing efficiency · Analyze data to inform process
improvements and ensure product quality · Organize workflows to
meet deadlines and specifications · Collaborate effectively with
team members to achieve production goals · Track and manage
resource requirements (workforce, raw materials, etc.) · Conduct
quality checks on inbound and outbound materials · Build and
maintain standard CAD processes and review outputs for accuracy ·
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards Required
Qualifications · Proficiency in AutoCAD, Rhino and SolidWorks or
Similar Programs. · Strong ability to read and draw technical
blueprints · Ability to convert 3D models to 2D technical outputs ·
Experience with automated cutting machines and software ·
Experience with material optimization and nesting for cost
reduction · Strong attention to detail and accuracy · Ability to
work closely with leadership and collaborate in a team environment
· Strong organizational and problem-solving skills Preferred
Qualifications · Bilingual in Spanish and English · Experience in
textile or soft goods design and manufacturing · Familiarity with
materials used in Defense or Aerospace applications · Previous
experience in a production or prototyping environment Apply today
