This comprehensive opportunity offers coverage starting 07/21/2025, for an initial contract of 120 days, with potential for extension. The assignment involves working Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, primarily in the outpatient clinic setting with some inpatient responsibilities. The ideal candidate will manage both outpatient and inpatient nephrology cases, handling an inpatient load of typically 15-20 patients, with backup support available for higher patient volumes. Job Details: Location: California Facility Type: Hospital Start Date: 07/21/2025 LOA: 120 days Provider Type Needed: Physician specializing in Nephrology Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM Responsibilities and Duties: - Provide comprehensive nephrology care in both outpatient and inpatient settings - Manage a diverse range of nephrology cases - Handle inpatient rounds for approximately 15-20 patients daily - Collaborate with backup call support when patient load exceeds 25 - Work closely with in-house IR, general, and vascular surgery teams - Conduct patient consultations and follow-ups in the outpatient clinic - Develop and implement treatment plans for kidney-related disorders - Interpret laboratory results and diagnostic tests - Perform procedures such as kidney biopsies when necessary - Coordinate care with other specialists and healthcare professionals - Maintain accurate and timely medical records using Epic EHR system - Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care conferences - Stay updated on the latest advancements in nephrology Additional Information: - Must be licensed to practice medicine in California - Board certification in Nephrology required - Experience in both outpatient and inpatient nephrology preferred - Familiarity with Epic EHR system is advantageous - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required - Ability to work efficiently in both clinic and hospital settings Apply now to learn more!
