Job Description:
US Foods, a leading force in the foodservice distribution
industry, is seeking a highly skilled T3 Fleet Mechanic to maintain
and repair our extensive fleet of vehicles, ensuring maximum
reliability and functionality. Our fleet mechanics are critical to
our operations, as they enable us to deliver our vast range of
products efficiently and safely across the nation. As a T3 Fleet
Mechanic at US Foods, you will handle complex mechanical and
diagnostic tasks, apply your detailed knowledge of advanced
systems, and work with the latest technology in transportation.
This role requires a dedication to safety standards, a deep
understanding of transportation logistics, and a commitment to
excellence. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on a
variety of vehicle makes and models. Diagnose and repair
mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems within the fleet.
Conduct detailed inspections and maintain records of fleet
conditions. Support fleet readiness for daily operations by
ensuring all maintenance is completed timely and accurately.
Collaborate with logistics and operations teams to schedule
maintenance and minimize downtime. Stay current on industry best
practices and advancements in fleet technology. Advanced diagnostic
and troubleshooting skills. Proficient in using tools and equipment
necessary for fleet maintenance. Ability to work on various makes
and models of commercial vehicles. Knowledge of hydraulic,
electrical, and mechanical systems. Strong understanding of safety
protocols. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k
Valid driver’s license. ASE Certification in heavy truck mechanics
(T2 Diesel Engines, T3 Drive Train, T4 Brakes, T5 Suspension and
Steering, T6 Electrical/Electronic Systems, T8 Preventative
Maintenance Inspection preferred). CDL (Commercial Driver’s
License) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
