Intrinsic First, LLC Senior IT and Cybersecurity Engineer Poway, CA -Part time Apply for Senior IT and Cybersecurity EngineerThe Senior IT and Cybersecurity Engineer will be responsible for managing and maintaining our Microsoft 365-based IT infrastructure, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards, and safeguarding our company's digital assets. This role is vital in maintaining operational efficiency and meeting the stringent security requirements of our government contracts.DescriptionKey Responsibilities:

• Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of our Microsoft 365 environment, including Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Exchange.
• Implement and manage security measures to comply with CMMC Level 2 requirements and other relevant standards (e.g., NIST SP 800-171).
• Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and incident response activities.
• Develop, implement, and maintain IT and cybersecurity policies, procedures, and documentation.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal uptime and security.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and role-based access controls.
• Oversee backups, disaster recovery planning, and business continuity strategies.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure IT systems align with business goals and compliance mandates.
• Provide end-user support and training on IT and cybersecurity best practices.
• Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT and cybersecurity roles, preferably within a small-to-medium-sized business or government contracting environment.
  • Proficiency in managing and securing Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Strong knowledge of CMMC Level 2 requirements, NIST SP 800-171, and related compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with firewalls, endpoint protection, and network security tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Preferred Qualifications:
    • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or Microsoft 365 certifications.
    • Experience with implementing multi-factor authentication (MFA) and other advanced security measures.
    • Familiarity with government contracting regulations and compliance standards.
