POSITION SUMMARY:Soapy Joe's is a growing organization serving all of San Diego County. The company has almost doubled in size in the past two years, and our accounting team is growing too! This is an exciting time to join this part of our Soapy Squad as the team continues to develop. This entry level posi-tion is being added to the team, and is a great opportunity for an enthusiastic accountant that is eager to learn new skills. This position will round out a 7 person team that gets to manage com-plex business initiatives, multiple locations, AP/AR, month end closing procedures, licensing, and more.The ideal candidate for this role has begun their accounting career and/or education, and is looking forward to partnering with the best in the business. Culture is vital to our success and we are looking for new team members that connect to our values and want to see our culture thrive.Our core values are: - Build community: we love our neighbors and create an atmosphere where everyone is welcome - Lead with heart: we create trust and respect through listening, positive words and actions - Create fans: we impress customers with a great experience defined by positivity and helpfulness - Do the right thing: we operate with honesty and integrity - even when no one's looking - Be proud: we're proud of our quality services and clean sites, but most of all, we're proud of our team - Have fun: we believe creative solutions and genuine connections happen when you're having fun - Keep learning: we take learning as seriously as we take having fun, which means we do it all the time!If these values resonate with you and you would like to be a part of this team keep reading!WHAT YOU'LL DO: - Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating busi-ness transactions. - Verifies and posts details of business transactions, such as funds received and disbursed, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and data-bases. - Audits invoices against purchase orders, researches discrepancies, and approves for payment. - Investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills. - Computes and records charges, refunds, and cost of lost or damaged goods, freight charges, rentals, and similar items. - Prepares vouchers, invoices, checks, account statements, reports, and other rec-ords, and reviews for accuracy. - Reconciles general ledger accounts with various registers. - Extracts general ledger information. - Compiles cost reports and revenue and balance sheets. - Reconciles bank statements. - Monitors loans and accounts payable and receivable to ensure that payments are up to date. - Reconciles report discrepancies and problems. - Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures. - Reviews, balances, and interprets computer reports, and makes corrections. - Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts, procedures, and services. - Accounts Payable and Receivable - Credit Check Analysis - Microsoft Office software - Professional and proactive approach to work, problem solver - Strong organizational skills, concern for quality and accuracy - Excellent communication skills - Customer service focused - Highest degree of integrity.

Requirements:
WHAT YOU'LL NEED: - 2+ years in the accounting field - Great Plains experience a plus - Excellent skills in Microsoft Office programs with high degree of proficiency in Excel - Internal customer service minded attitude - Ability to communicate effectively across multiple mediumPI177395615
